Gibson Lake Park

Gibson Lake Camping Rules print rules 1. All campers must register, a $15.00 per night fee is charged for each campsite. Complete on-site registration envelope and place appropriate fee (check or cash) for your entire stay in the envelope and drop box. Exact amount required. No change will be mailed to you. 2. Drop slot and registration forms are located in the vicinity of the campground information sign next to the bathroom changing house. Campsites occupied after 11am will be charged for that day. Payment must be made at time of arrival for entire length of stay. 3. One family per site. Number of camping units allowed at each site includes one principle unit, plus no more than two tents (one being a screen room) and one additional vehicle (car or truck) per site. 4. Camping allowed at designated sites only. 5. Camp fee must be paid before setting up and site must be occupied by camping unit to maintain use of site. 6. Do not build or erect tables, docks or other permanent structures. 7. Do not cut standing trees or branches of trees. Do not put any nails in trees. 8. Use refuse containers, bathrooms and fire pits provided (fire in fire pits only). Extinguish all fires when you leave your site. Only one fire pit allowed at each site. 9. Discharge of firearms is prohibited in the recreation area. 10. Use of fireworks is prohibited. 11. Discharge of gray water is prohibited. 12. Off-road vehicle use is prohibited on beach, but may used from trail to campsite. All motorized vehicles are prohibited on beach. 13. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. loud music, generators, loud talking, etc. is prohibited during this time. 14. Pets are to be leashed, kept under control at all times and should not be left unattended. Your attention to cleaning up after your pets will be appreciated by the next camper. 15. All sites will be closed on October 1, no camping allowed after that date. 16. Length of stay is limited to 15 consecutive nights. Camping unit must be removed from the park at end of 15-day limit for 48 hours. Registering camping unit in different names is not permitted. 17. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS. 18. VIOLATION OF CAMPING RULES MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF CAMPING PRIVILEGES. Bewabic State Park

Address: 1933 w Us Highway 2 Crystal Falls, Michigan 49920 Bewabic State Park is located four miles west of Crystal Falls along US-2 on Fortune Lake. Camping The campground consists of 137 campsites situated in a shady, wooded area. Most of the sites have buffer strips between them to allow for privacy. Each site has electricity, a fire ring and a picnic table. Modern bathroom facilities are available in the two toilet/shower buildings located within the park. Two playgrounds equipped with swings, slides and other apparatus are available for children. Day Use The day use area is situated on Fortune Lake. A shelter building, equipped with picnic tables, electricity and a fireplace, is available for use. The shelter can be used on either a first-come, first-serve basis or it can be rented for the day. Arrangements for rental must be made with the park office prior to arriving at the park. Fishing and Boating There are plenty of perch, bass, bluegills and walleyes to be caught in Fortune Lake. There is a boat launch for those who have their own boat. Summer Activities Swimming, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking and tennis can also be enjoyed at the park. There is an excellent beach and a bathhouse equipped with changing stalls and modern bathroom facilities. A hiking trail beginning in the campground takes about one hour to hike. The trail will lead you towards the day use area. As you move along the trail, you will find that benches are provided for those who may wish to stop for a moment and enjoy the beauty that surrounds them.
